TagMaster, world-wide manufacturer and marketer of RFID-based identification systems, and Utsch AG, development pioneer and international market leader for vehicle license plate technology, have signed an OEM-agreement. Together, they will develop the next generation license plates, which incorporate TagMaster’s long-range RFID technology with Utsch?s “third license plate.”
This long-range RFID technology serves as a security tool within Public Security, assisting police officers, traffic wardens or similar personnel in their daily jobs. With an RFID tag, a vehicle can be programmed with public as well as protected information.
The technology also makes it possible to use the ID-tag for passage control and automatic vehicle identification in restricted areas or gated communities. The technology improves public security by means of faster detection and prevention of vehicle misuse.
