International Parking Design (IPD), as architect-of-record for the recently completed Fullerton (CA) Transportation Center Parking Structure, notes that the firm has already received multiple awards from the American Planning Association, Southern California Association of Governments and Urban Land Institute. The state-of the-art 263,000-square-foot parking structure offers more than 800 spaces on four levels, with parking ticket kiosks on each level, providing Amtrak and Metrolink riders with the latest technology, including electronic car-count displays, video surveillance and integrated security system with the city police department. Eco-friendly features such as high-efficiency lighting, rooftop solar panels and bio-filtration stormwater treatment also are part of the design. IPD partnered with Bomel Construction for the design-build delivery of this project.
