The National Parking Association (NPA) announced the promotion of Christina Garneski to Vice President, Marketing, Communications and Events on January 31, 2015. Garneski is responsible for leading NPA’s marketing and communications strategies, as well as overseeing NPA events, including the Annual Convention & Expo and Winter Leadership Forum. She also serves as Editor-in-Chief of NPA’s monthly magazine, Parking.
“Christina has accepted and performed admirably with an expanding portfolio of responsibilities. She was recognized and her promotion was announced at the NPA Board of Directors meeting at the NPA Winter Leadership Forum. Congratulations to Christina as she continues to lead several key NPA functions,” said Christine Banning, president of NPA.
Garneski joined NPA in April 2013 as the Director of Marketing and Communications. As her roles and responsibilities continued to develop, she was promoted to Senior Director of Marketing, Communications and Events in 2014. Prior to NPA, Garneski served in various association roles for 10 years at the Institute of Transportation Engineers. In her final role there as Marketing and Membership Senior Director, she lead marketing, communication, membership and sales efforts.
Garneski received her Bachelor’s Degree in marketing from James Madison University in 2001. She earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) in 2013. She is a member of both the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE.).
