The National Parking Association (NPA) has relaunched its Certified Parking Professional (CPP) exam in an online format. Formerly, the CPP exam could be taken only at testing centers, but now the organization has made the test available through a secure online program.
“Parking professionals who have earned NPA’s Certified Parking Professional designation are recognized as some of the most skilled and accomplished in the industry,” said NPA President Christine Banning, CAE, “because the certification is earned through such a rigorous testing process.”
Banning added: “Now that we have reformatted the CPP exam in an online format, the same high standard is in place, but we are pleased to make the test more accessible to parking professionals throughout the nation and worldwide.”
More than 500 parking professionals have earned their CPP designation since the program was established in 1993. The certification program enhances professionalism in the industry, raises the awareness of the impact and importance of the parking industry, and sets a standard for excellence.
Eligible parking professionals participate in a comprehensive exam covering 13 key aspects of parking: parking operations, customer service, human resources, facility design, equipment technology, disaster planning, safety, maintenance, administration, accounting, auditing, marketing and valet operations.
Parking professionals can apply for the exam online and then have up to one year to prepare with study aids, peer networks and online resources offered by the NPA. For more information on the CPP program, visit weareparking.org/CPP.
