The mission of Women in Parking is to be the premier association dedicated to promoting the advancement and achievement of professional women by providing networking, mentorship and education to its members. Between the endless giving from corporate sponsors, hundreds of members volunteering combined with the leadership of our current Chairperson, Laura Longsworth, and W.I.P. Board, our mission isn’t just a vision, it’s the value we have brought to the parking industry as a whole. Our association has brought a different perspective, changed conversations and created initiatives to better improve gender diversity within the workplace. With this achievement, we would like to acknowledge our Founder and Executive Director, Ruth Beaman.
Ruth’s passion for the industry and the desire to give women equal opportunities is the driving force behind her involvement. Ruth has supported W.I.P. from day one with her energy, knowledge and selfless giving.
Today W.I.P., is 300 members strong and continues to grow. W.I.P. provides an annual conference, four webinars per year, four e-newsletters, an issue of Parking Today dedicated to W.I.P., and an ever growing mentoring program to all our members. W.I.P. wants to thank Ruth Beaman for her vision and continued support.
