Dublin-based Parkbytext, one of Ireland’s leading mobile parking operators, was a finalist at the city’s Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Irish Social Media Awards 2016 ceremony in late May within the “Customer Care Across Social Media” category.
The “Sockies” recognize companies that are leading the social age with good practices and world-class social campaigns, the chamber said. Finalists were judged on their overall strategy, communications, response times and examples.
The other five finalists within the category were Three Ireland (telecoms), EBS (banking), Virgin Media Ireland, Ireland West Airport Knock and Keogh’s Crisps (also the overall winner).
Speaking after the results, parkbytext CEO Jim Moore said: “We are delighted to be finalists at this year’s social media awards within the Customer Care category. We find social media to be a dominant platform to communicate with our customers and assist them with any queries or issues that they may have.
“Customers are mobile savvy,” Moore said, “and they would as easily send us a ‘tweet’ or Facebook message, as they would an email or to call us – which is why customer care across our social platforms, of Facebook and Twitter, plays a big part in our customer experience strategy.”
