As Brits prepared to jet off to warmer climes this summer, Good To Go Parking was sparing a thought for those left behind, as a new breed of hotel opened its doors at London’s Heathrow Airport. For the first time, passengers were able to check-in their vehicles at the company’s carpark hotel, a boutique offering for car lovers to take advantage of the summer holiday season.
At the Good To Go Car Park Hotel, passenger vehicles were given the VIP treatment from the moment they rolled into the bespoke suites created to accommodate “precious motors” as their owners left them behind for some fun in the sun. The company added that travelers using it were “safe in the knowledge that their car has been left in the best possible hands,” with the choice of three specially created spaces:
“The Deluxe Junior Suite, which gives the vehicle extra room, is positioned close to the terminal in prime position for their owners’ return; the Beachside Paradise Suite with a sandy surface gives wheels a ‘brake’ from the tarmac; and the Runway Penthouse, with breathtaking views of the runway as you pull in, where [airplanes] take off every 40 seconds.”
Malcom Maclean at Good To Go Parking commented: “We’re all about offering a convenient, hassle-free and quality parking service for Heathrow passengers. [As] the peak summer period [approached], we wanted to go the extra mile and inject a bit of fun into the parking service that we offer. A lot of our customers are car fanatics and want to be [sure] that their vehicle is in the best possible hands when they’re away. Now we’re giving those jetting off on holiday a reason to give their car a holiday, too.”
