Gregory Alan Susick passed away at his lakehouse in Commerce Township Michigan on July 6, 2017. He was born on June 29, 1959 in Michigan and was one of four sons of Robert Susick and Anne (Simon) Susick, who along with Bennett Susick, his son, preceded Greg’s death. Family was important to Greg as a grandson, son, father and business owner.
The land on the lake that had been in his family for over 100 years is the place Greg loved most. Although there were other houses placed where the Lakehouse stands today, the actual land and the water had been in his heart since he was a small boy. Friends and family have heard or been a part of the stories he shared about fishing, boating and spending summers over the 58 years of his life. It was his special place where he felt most at home. He passed this love down to his daughters Miranda and Lauren.
In 2004, Greg founded the company One Parking, acting as CEO up until his death. Together with his wife, Kirsten, he built an organization from a single location in West Palm Beach that 14 years later has over 75 locations in 15 cities. His leadership and drive built the organization where over 650 team members are also referred to as “family”. Prior to that he worked his way through the Central Parking Organization, leaving after attaining the position of Vice President.
It has been said that when you met Greg one time, you never forgot him. His straightforward manner and ability to verbally make a point unlike most, was unique. He leaves behind a wide circle of friends, coworkers and relatives that will forever be considered part of his family.
In addition to Kirsten Dolan-Susick, his wife of 14 years, Greg is survived by their children, Miranda and Lauren; siblings Robert (Kris) Susick, Steven (Sharon) Susick, and Daniel (Margaret Cassar) Susick as well as extended family and friends.
Greg was preceded in death by his son, Bennett Susick and parents, Robert and Anne Susick. Memorials encouraged to the March of Dimes—March for babies, Palm Beach County.
