Conduent Transportation, a business unit of digital interactions company Conduent Incorporated, will continue to help ease travel across Los Angeles County by modernizing the tolling system on ExpressLanes with the latest in automated technologies. The upgrades will save drivers time via reduced congestion, while also improving safety on both the I-10 and I-110 corridors. Conduent Transportation announced the appointment of John Peracchio as general manager, Mobility Solutions and Strategy. Based in Detroit, Peracchio will be responsible for creating future business models and developing strategies that offer long-term growth for Conduent Transportation. He will use his knowledge of the industry to identify emerging innovations and technologies, as well as potentially disruptive practices, inside and outside the company, while seeking new business opportunities.

ParkWhiz announced today that it added an additional $5 million in equity to its recently announced Series D financing, bringing the total funding round led by NewSpring Capital to $25 million. Drexel University and Passport announce the launch of the PassportParking® mobile application in select lots across the university’s campus. The mobile app, which has a growing presence in the Philadelphia area, is also available in the boroughs of Morton, Swarthmore, Phoenixville, Kennett Square and West Chester. Signs and decals will be displayed to direct drivers to where the PassportParking app can be used in over 1,500 garage and lot parking spaces. Vigilant Solutions, an AI and data analytics company, today announced it has teamed with ParkMobile to provide a solution designed to expedite payment verification of parking permits and pay-by-phone accounts by enforcement officers. The integration creates a parking payment verification solution by combining ParkMobile’s parking permit and pay-by-phone systems with Vigilant Solutions’ cloud-based software and license plate recognition (LPR) detections, which includes the date, time and location of the vehicle siting.
TIBA Parking Systems’ Bluetooth technology (BLE), ParkBlue, was successfully implemented in Ohio and Indiana for monthly transients at multiple sites. Since July, hundreds of monthly users have utilized the first garages installed by Signature Control Systems in partnership with TIBA Parking Systems. Monthly parkers at these locations now have the ability to gain frictionless access to the garage using their branded mobile app.

European online parking reservation leader, ParkCloud, has entered into a collaboration with the UK’s second largest airport, London Gatwick (LGW). The City of Berkeley, California selected SKIDATA to be a part of their downtown visitor improvement project which included a brand-new parking garage for vehicles and bicycles. The Center Street Garage’s engineering and design provides a convenient central parking location with nearly 50 percent more parking spaces than the structure it replaced. Allpro Parking is again operating valet services for Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bon Secours Mercy Health, an Ohio not-for-profit corporation, asked Allpro Parking to return to improve the customer experience at both the medical office building and the main entrance of the hospital. They were able to offer Mercy West Hospital valet services with more supervision, training, and follow up that reflects the compassionate care they offer inside.
