An affiliate of Next Realty, LLC is pleased to announce the acquisition of the transient parking portion of the Metropole Condominium Garage located at 1515 15th Street NW, Washington, D.C. The purchase price for Metropole Condominium Garage was not disclosed.
The property is located below The Metropole Condominium Complex. The dynamic, mixed-use project containing 90 luxury condos also includes a parking component that is deeded to owners of units in the complex.
The Metropole was developed in 2008 and features modern loft-style units, private terraces and fireplaces. Additional amenities of the development include VIDA Fitness and Bang Salon, TD Bank, Blue Bottle Coffee and SweetGreen Restaurant.
“The property benefits from a prime location in one of the premier neighborhoods of Washington D.C. It is uniquely positioned as one of the only transient parking garages near the 14th Street Corridor. “Next Realty has operated in the Washington, D.C. area for 20 years and we are excited for this addition to our portfolio., says Eteri Zaslavsky, Managing Director, Next Realty.
The acquisition was financed by Wintrust Bank.
San Diego International Airport Strikes Parksmart Gold
As part of its successful pursuit of Parksmart Gold certification, the San Diego Regional Airport Authority worked with the design team for the Terminal 2 Parking Plaza to integrate design elements that not only promoted sustainable parking, but also elevated the user experience for travelers.
The Plaza’s innovative features include expansive lightwells that bring natural light into the structure’s large footprint and state-of-the-art parking guidance and revenue control systems that elevate the user experience while decreasing emissions. EV charging stations, preferred parking for clean air vehicles and easy access to bicycle lockers, a bike sharing station and bus stops also rewards those who take steps of their own to protect the environment.
Signage in the facility outlines many of the facility’s sustainable features, including its stormwater system, which is capable of harvesting up to 2,000,000 gallons of stormwater annually.

SKIDATA Announces Successful Deployment of ParkMobile Integration for City of Minneapolis.
Longtime, anchor customer – City of Minneapolis, along with operator ABM, have recently provided the power of mobile payment for their thousands of daily parkers and visitors. SKIDATA deployed the MPLS Parking app powered by ParkMobile to provide this convenience for both the parker and the city at 11 of the 16 municipal garages installed by SKIDATA.
Dan Stublaski, Senior Manager, Midwest – SKIDATA, shared additional insight into this process, “The ParkMobile interface provides a best in breed experience by allowing the customer to scan their parking ticket with their ParkMobile app at any time prior to leaving the garage. The payment is applied once they insert their ticket at the exit thus allowing for faster throughput.”

The City of Minneapolis has been a SKIDATA customer for over 15 years and has grown the scope and functionality of their massive parking operation to over 200 lanes of equipment at 16 parking garages. Operated by ABM, the parking system has gone through recent upgrades and is in the process of increasing their modern functionality with the SKIDATA web-based tools – sweb services.
