Blink Charging Co. announced that it has acquired the EV charging operator U-Go Stations, Inc. and its portfolio of 44 DCFC charging locations. The purchase also includes multiple grants awarded to U-Go, for the deployment of up to an additional 45 new charging stations. The charging stations are located across ten states, expanding Blink’s DCFC footprint. “As a key contributor to the expanding EV landscape, we are continuously looking for opportunities to strategically broaden our footprint across the United States, and our acquisition of U-Go supports this growth,” commented Brendan Jones, Chief Operating Officer of Blink.

Charleston International Airport opened its new parking garage with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in December. The new 3,000 space parking garage, features multi-space parking guidance sensors, rooftop parking sensors, internal wayfinding and external signs along the road and the entrance. “When we planned for this new garage, it wasn’t simply about adding more spaces, we wanted to make sure our customers could locate an available space faster and have a more enjoyable parking experience,” said John Robison, Manager of Landside Operations.
Denison Parking, an Indianapolis-based parking operator is managing the parking operations at the Bottleworks District. The Bottleworks District is a $300 million, 12-acre urban mixed-use development at the former Coca- Cola bottling plant at the north end of Massachusetts Ave near downtown Indianapolis. Denison will manage over 500 parking spaces and on street enforcement.

After the COVID-19 pandemic caused toll road traffic volumes to drop by approximately 50 percent year over year in April 2020, traffic volumes on several of the nation’s largest toll road systems have recovered to an 8.7 percent year-over-year decline in November, according to an analysis of data usage from Conduent Transportation, a unit of Conduent Incorporated. Traffic trends could remain volatile heading into 2021. For example, the traffic volume recovery peaked in September, but year-over-year declines widened slightly in October and November. Conduent manages road usage charging, parking, public transit and traffic safety systems for government clients globally.
