Parking Logix announced its appointment of parking and mobility industry veteran and change agent, Todd Tucker, as its new global president whose mandate is to further grow the company’s existing, unique solutions to new levels, expand through strategic alliances, and to pioneer the company’s technologies into new markets and verticals.


EasyPark ANZ announced two significant additions to its team as the organization consolidates its place as Australia’s most used pay-by-phone app. Robert Di Cristo joins as EasyPark General Manager, Smart Cities and Steve Hargitay comes on board as General Manager, Off Street Parking. “We are delighted to welcome both Robert and Steve to the EasyPark family,” said EasyPark CEO, Eli Grossinger Binshtok.


Mobile Smart City Pango announced that it has entered into this partnership agreement with Mount Agamenticus Conservation Region to provide the PANGO Mobile Payment App as their mobile parking payment solution. “We are very excited to, not only be providing Pango parking fee collection, as well as, being able to give the user the ability to make donations” stated John J. Incandela, President, and CEO of Mobile Smart City Pango.


The Borough of Sewickley, Pennsylvania has announced an exciting upgrade to its parking system in partnership with Flowbird Group and Butts Ticket Systems, Flowbird’s local distributing partner. The Borough is replacing its aging parking pay stations with Flowbird’s Pay-by-Plate Solar-Powered Smart Parking Kiosks.

The partnership aims to reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, balance parking space usage and create a better parking experience for residents and visitors. eleven-x announced it has been selected by the City of Kirkland, Washington to deploy the company’s eXactpark Smart Parking Solution in the city’s busy downtown area. This partnership aligns with Kirkland’s Smart Cities Initiative.


Propark Mobility announced that David Schmid has become the company’s Chief Executive Officer. David, who most recently served as Chief Investment Officer, brings a tremendous depth of knowledge and experience to his position as CEO. Throughout his tenure with Propark, David has led mergers and acquisitions, as well as the development of Propark’s proprietary Cloudpark Technology.


TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) began installation for a previously awarded Automated Parking Guidance System (APGS) contract with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for the parking facilities at the new $1.5 billion Arthur M. Blank Hospital. Announced in June 2023, U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals 2023-2024 list ranked CHOA among the nation’s top pediatric hospitals for the 20th year. Slated to open in 2024, CHOA’s Arthur M. Blank Hospital will be a 446-bed children’s hospital in Brookhaven, Georgia. 


As if finding parking around metro Atlanta wasn’t hard enough, officials with the Better Business Bureau have warned consumers to watch out for fake QR codes some metro Atlanta residents said they’ve spotted in parking garages around the city. Videos posted to social media show people spotting fake codes placed over real ones. BBB spokesperson Simone Williams said it’s all in an effort to try to steal people’s personal information.


EVCS has announced the commencement of construction for 165 EV chargers at 23 LA Fitness clubs and 1 Esporta Fitness club in CaliforniaOregon, and Washington. This milestone marks a significant step in EVCS’ ongoing business relationship with Fitness International, LLC, a health club operator in the United States. As the project progresses, EV drivers can anticipate a wide array of fast-charging options available at select LA Fitness and Esporta Fitness locations.


OMNIQ Corp., a provider of Artificial Intelligence-based solutions, announced that it has received a follow-on order for $1.2 million from a leading freight transportation and logistics company. The purchase order is for rugged mobile computers used in automation of processes, digital monitoring, control and efficiencies through the supply chain level. These devices provide a more “contactless” approach to the customer’s retail and logistics operations.


ParkMobile, a provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in North America and part of EasyPark Group, has partnered with the Borough of Sewickley to modernize its parking payment system. Now, residents and visitors can use ParkMobile’s digital payment solution to pay for parking at 443 on-street and off-street parking spaces throughout the city. ParkMobile is now offering its digital parking services for 1,300 on-street and off-street parking spaces in the City of Hackensack.


New smart parking meters have gone up on Honolulu’s sidewalks — with the first 300 already installed in the Chinatown area. The city budgeted $4 million to replace all 4,200 of its street parking meters with upgraded ones that have sensors. They blink red when the time has expired or if the meter hasn’t been paid. “These are credit card-enabled meters,” said Chris Clark, chief planner with the city’s Department of Transportation Services. The new meters are connected to IPS Group’s Park Smarter app.


Concord Parking has installed four new Tango Pay Stations at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital and The Miller Centre in Newfoundland and Labrador. The move comes after Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services came to Concord looking for a way to deter unauthorized parkers from taking up the limited number of spots available for hospital patients and guests. NLHS wanted a cost-effective, user-friendly, and non-gated solution for its lots.


Securing a parking spot can be a stressful experience Penn State students face, with expensive and limited parking downtown and on campus. According to an application called BuyMySpot, the stress can be avoided. The company is based out of Ann ArborMichigan, and describes itself as a “peer-to-peer marketplace for parking solutions.”

PayByPhone, the global provider in mobile parking payments and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Financial Services AG, announced the appointment of Nick Hamill as Chief Financial Officer. Thirty-nine-year-old Hamill previously served as Vice President, Finance at PayByPhone, working closely with departing CFO Daniel Ungar, who relocates to Germany to begin a new position within Volkswagen Financial Services AG. Hamill will report to the PayByPhone supervisory board, chaired by Jan Ebert, Head of Controlling, Volkswagen Financial Services AG.


Flowbird announced a strategic partnership with Umojo, a provider of communication, data analytics, and automation solutions. This exciting collaboration aims to revolutionize the parking experience in the City of Portland by integrating Umojo’s cutting-edge communication software into Flowbird’s off-street parking devices. Flowbird Group is proud to announce its partnership with the City of Tampa for their latest accessibility initiative. As of July 2023, The Flowbird app has been integrated as one of the four major mobile parking payment applications in the City of Tampa that support four hours of free parking for disabled permit holders.


TagMaster North America, Inc. announced the successful implementation of the powerful ACTS Advanced Management Software in conjunction with NDAA compliant Microwave 2.45GHz Long-Range RFID readers and tags. Partnering with Automated Gates and Equipment and Secure A Site, a comprehensive access control solution was provided for the Local Water and Sewer district in South King County Washington. Automated Gates and Equipment included TagMaster NA early in their design process for a collaborative approach to ensure the highest performance and comprehensive vehicle tracking and access control solution on the market.


SP Plus Corporation announced that it has acquired certain assets of Roker Inc. a provider of fully-integrated parking solutions that simplify permit, violation and enforcement management for organizations and municipalities of all sizes. SP+ has acquired all the intellectual property of Roker as well as its client contracts and a talented support team based both in the United States and Canada.


Ampcontrol announced $10M in Series A financing to enable its next stage of growth. The round was led by The Westly Group with participation from existing investors AngelPad and Lorimer Ventures. Fleet operators are facing critical challenges when switching from internal combustion engines to electric vehicles. Problems range from high energy costs, low charger reliability, and late departure of vehicles. 


Traffic and Parking Control Co., Inc. (TAPCO), manufacturer, distributor and service provider of roadway safety innovations announced the launch of a LegendViz line extension. The new additions to the LegendViz line are the 36-inch-by-36-inch Stop and 48-inch-by-48-inch Do Not Enter signs.


Carbon Day EV Charging has named Rob Spatz as its National Sales Manager. Rob returns after leaving in 2016. Rob’s focus is strengthening the relationships of Carbon Day’s 500 plus clients while looking to expand their market share in Educational, Municipal, Fleet, and Commercial sales.
