Amano McGann Inc. is pleased to announce that Wade Bettisworth has joined the company as Regional Vice President – Western Region. Bettisworth will be responsible for strengthening relationships, driving sales growth, and the continued development of the western region. In addition to his business development responsibilities, he will take a leadership role in the company’s branch operations.

Bettisworth possesses a unique insight of on- and off-street parking operations. His experience includes serving as the Western Region Director of Sales for T2 Systems and Regional Sales Manager for Genetec/AutoVu. During his nine year tenure with Schlumberger/Parkeon, Bettisworth helped introduce parking pay stations for on-street use in a number of cities in the west. Over the past 16 years, he has consulted with municipalities, colleges and universities as well as private parking operators to improve the efficiencies of their operations
Southland Printing Co. has made several management changes. Della Copp has been named Sales & Marketing Director. She will concentrate on implementing sales and marketing strategies, development of key customer relationships and new business opportunities. Ann Porterfield, Charles McHenry and Robert Taylor have been promoted to Sales Account Managers. Acting as team leads and with key customer account oversight, Porterfield and McHenry will provide solutions for the domestic market and Taylor for the international market.
Automatic Systems and i3 Concepts teams have come together and designed a partnership that would increase the availability of ParkPlus parking gates in Texas and the Southwest for direct parking customers and simultaneously throughout the USA for parking integrators. The result for clients is regional product and parts availability, technical support, and fast turnaround of orders.
Parkopedia has appointed Mark Neff as Head of North American Business Development. This appointment reflects the company’s strengthening position in the region, as demonstrated by recent deals with automotive makers such as BMW. Commenting on the announcement, Parkopedia CEO Eugene Tsyrklevich said, “We welcome Mark onboard. … [He] has over 15 years of Global Business Development, Strategic Alliance Management and Strategic Sales experience.”
Hoffmann Architects, an architecture and engineering firm specializing in the rehabilitation of building exteriors, has received a U.S. Patent for an innovative design by Lawrence E. Keenan, PE, AIA, its Director of Engineering. The patented seismic connection was designed to prevent and remediate structural failure at precast parking garage decks, and to improve structural integrity and reduce the incidence of stress and fatigue fracture.
Pango Mobile Parking, a comprehensive parking payment and management system, has appointed Robert J. Streib Jr. as Sales and Business Development Director for Pango Shyyny USA. He will collaborate with strategic partners to boost penetration and contract with new cities, municipalities and parking operators to implement the Pango smart-parking system.
McCarthy Building Cos., one of Southern California’s preeminent parking structure builders, was recently awarded its second at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. Located on the hospital’s medical campus in Santa Clarita, CA, the $8 million parking facility is being built along McBean Parkway adjacent to the campus’ main entry.
Advanced Parking Concepts (APC) has won the Best Attitude award in the 2013 National Valet Olympics, for the fourth consecutive time.  The APC team, trained by Olu Ajala and Valet Olympians Ryka Normil, Edgar Fernandez and Damian Richburg, finished fourth nationally, against the best companies and valets in the country. On a special note, Normil finished second individually, narrowly missing winning Best Overall Valet by 2/10th of a second.
MasterCard has announced an exclusive, global partnership with Parkeon, the world’s leading parking services provider, to enable shoppers to benefit from local merchant offers and loyalty services through its global network of “smart-parking” terminals. This unique “couponing platform,” developed by MasterCard, will enable the delivery of offers from local retailers directly to shoppers as they are paying for their parking spaces.
Complus Data Innovations, a recognized leader in the parking industry, has added sales veteran Andrew Peppis to help lead its Business Development efforts nationwide.
Victory Parking, a leading parking provider in St. Paul, MN, has partnered with QuickPay Corp., a premier mobile parking and payment platform provider, to bring new payment options and value-added services to its downtown parking facility. Its customers are expected to save time and money when paying for parking using their mobile phones and the free QP smartphone app.
ECO Parking Lights recently won a project in its community. The Axis at Block 400 multi-use facility in Indianapolis includes a parking garage that will be illuminated by the company’s ECO FlexTech LEDs. The local utility provider has contributed $100 per fixture toward buying the low-energy and long-life fixture over the metal-halide fixtures that the developer had been considering for purchase.
DMP has named Joe Hurst as President of its global unit, DMP International, to market its products around the world.  CEO Rick Britton said, “Joe will focus his skills on supporting and greatly expanding sales outside the U.S. as the leader of an organization dedicated to growing DMP presence beyond our borders.”
Walter P Moore congratulates Rafael Sabelli, Principal and Director of Seismic Design in its San Francisco office, for his recent accomplishments: induction as a Fellow of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California; and receiving the 2013 Designer Special Achievement Award from the American Institute of Steel Construction.
Baum Realty Group has announced the sale of a four-story, 165-stall attendant parking garage at 1250 N. Dearborn St. on Chicago’s Gold Coast. The firm’s Investment Sales Team, Danny Spitz and Greg Dietz, represented the seller. The valet-parking-only property, situated on the lower levels of a 100-unit condominium building, sold for $2.8 million to a local investor.
The Spanish company Informática del Este developed a solution to optimize logistics through vehicle access control for a Coca Cola bottling company in Seville, Spain. Vehicle and driver identification products from Nedap AVI play an important role in this solution, which was honored, during Security Forum 2013, as the best security project in Spain.
HUB Italia, part of HUB Parking Technology (an AAC Group business unit), has finalized the acquisition of Nextec Srl, a company specialized in the sales of advanced automated parking and access control systems across Italy. HUB Italia GM Franco Oliva said, “Nextec Srl activities are perfectly in line with the target of offering professional turn-key solutions for parking systems …”
Automatic Gate Resource Center (AGRC) is partnering with Controlled Product Systems Group (CPSG), and with automatic gate operator manufacturer HySecurity, to record the live Smart Touch & Smart DC Controller Board Training, and to make the full class recording available online, accessible to gate professionals at any time. On AGRC’s website, along with educating consumers on driveway gates, gate system installers, manufacturers, and distributors gain access to tips, instructions, and online training on equipment, installation, and technical and sales issues.
Jean Randolph, Senior Petrographer has been promoted to the Manager of CTLGroup’s world renowned Petrography Laboratory. Ms. Randolph is an expert concrete petrographer with an accomplished consulting background in field and laboratory testing interpretation. In this role, she manages the day-to-day operations and marketing of the Petrography Laboratory, and works in close collaboration with the firm’s Materials Consulting Practice and Laboratory.
Baum Realty Group, LLC (“Baum”), has announced the sale of a 165 stall parking garage in Chicago’s Gold Coast. The four story attendant parking garage is located at 1250 N. Dearborn Street. Baum’s Investment Sales Team, Danny Spitz and Greg Dietz, represented the seller. The property sold for $2,800,000 to a local investor.
