A key player in traffic management and road safety, SWARCO installed a reference deployment of Tinynode’s system at their headquarters in Wattens (Austria). With their solutions becoming a part of SWARCO’s smart parking solutions, the Swiss company confirms their leading position in outdoor parking detection systems.
Lausanne-based company Tinynode entered a partnership with SWARCO. Not only will Tinynode’s solutions show on SWARCO’s portfolio in road safety and traffic management from now on: the technology will be used in SWARCO’s own solutions.
Tinynode designs and sells wireless vehicle detection systems for outdoor parking. Its products are used as part of smart parking solutions such as guidance system, finding or booking a free spot. We are very proud a leader such as SWARCO chose our solution*, said 31 year-old Pierre Castella, CEO of Tinynode*. It says a lot about the quality of our product.”
The main target for Tinynode’s solutions is the huge on-street parking market: in Europe alone, there are several million parking spaces ready for such a system. But the SWARCO deployment demonstrates this product can also be seamlessly integrated to indoor parking management systems.
At SWARCO’s headquarters in Wattens, a 40-car parking for staff and visitors is used as a testing facility.
Richard Neumann, Corporate Communications Manager at SWARCO, said:
“Tinynode’s plug and play approach is very efficient: installing the sensors is quick and easy and adding them to an existing system is no big deal. We now have a reliable real-time online overview about the occupancy degree of our on-street parking spaces. “
