It’s called “The Good Guys” = it’s a cop show, mostly a comedy, (on Fox). The writing is crisp, the acting outstanding (Bradley Whitford – of West Wing Fame, and Colin Hanks – yes son of Tom) are ying and yang cops who just keep coming. Lots of shoot em up stuff. But the great part of this first episode were the muscle cars, literally dozens of them. Whitford has a Trans Am, is in love with it and knows how to drive it.
His take away line that tells it all: (Hanks has just had a friendly hit on the arm by a pretty woman.) “The only place a woman should hit a man is in the face.”
Its on right after “Lie to Me” on Monday Nights. Check it out. If the writing holds up this could be a keeper.
