I know, I know, “If I had a Hammer” was made popular in 1963 by Trini Lopez. It was a major hit. Peter Paul and Mary made it a standard in their concerts. It was also sung by the Weavers and Sam Cooke. College students sang it at Hootenanny’s throughout the sixties. And if you remember any of this, you are just too damn old.
Just sayin
