Speaking of the October issue of Parking Today, we have a
new feature, a periodic column titled The Amateur Parker. Its written by
Melissa Bean Sterzick who bills herself as " a
writer, proofreader, mom, and amateur parker in the Los Angeles area." Her other claim
to fame is that she is the final arbitrator as to spelling,
grammar. and the like for Parking Today. Melissa reads the magazine
when it is complete but before it goes to the the printer. Since she has been on board (the last
couple of years) the incidence of typos and grammar errors, misplaced
commas, and strange jumps have been reduced to as near to zero as
you can get. Note that she does NOT read this blog.
Melissa sees herself as a customer of parking. So when she talks about why women don’t like to park in garages, perhaps as an industry we should listen. In her first installment, she takes garages to task, but with a wit that keeps you reading and tells the story.
Look for the Amateur Parking starting in October. Its worth the read.
