A New York Cop beat up and arrested a parking enforcement officer when the officer wrote the cop’s girlfriend a ticket for double parking. The surrounding New Yorker’s cheered when the parking officer was led off in handcuffs. Read all about it here.
There is just too much to comment on in this article. First – the cop was probably angry because the city had taken away the free parking permit he had given to his girlfriend. (NYC Clamps down on free permits, most came from the police). Second – Are you telling me that the enforcement officer was resisting arrest – NY cops aren’t known for their subtilty. And finally, “The Crowd Cheered.” Sheesh, they had just seen someone beat up a person and they cheered. Well, once again, parking is unloved.
