Parking citations will be issued in Philadelphia by a new hand held permit system rather than written by hand. It is touted as a system that will ensure that fewer tickets are challenged due to illegibility. I’m sure that’s true, however, my recent experience with on street citation writing tells me that although the citations will now be legible, errors will still be there, only readable.
