In 1970, Ron joined Carl Walker & Associates in Minneapolis, MN., where he remained until 1983. He was the project manager on several municipal and educational parking structures across the United States. He always enjoyed company functions and engaged with his co-workers, some of which to this day remain close friends.

In the spring of 1983, Ron drew the attention of Dick Roti of International Parking Design in Sherman Oaks, CA., he joined IPD in July 1983 where he rose to Senior Vice President. He managed the design of multiple parking structures across the United States, including several casino projects in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Florida, as well as multiple universities and municipalities across the country.

In January 2006, Ron decided to concentrate on consulting and opened his own business, Parking Design Consulting, Inc. and focused his talents on consulting for the engineering firms he had established relationships with over the years. Ron retired in 2017 from his career after more than 50 years.

He passed away on October 2, 2022. Ron is survived by his wife Karol of 53 years, his son John, daughter Terri and four grandchildren, Caleb, Reese, Kaitlyn and Megan. He will be sorely missed and remembered as a good guy, and an honest straight shooter.
