This is an article about 100 people who live in an RV park in one of the off airport parking lots at LAX. The park is provided by the airport to airline employees who are based in LA but live elsewhere. The employees pay $60 a month to park their RV’s in the lot and live out of them when they are working at the airport.
OK? I guess my question is what is the point of the article? Are they telling us that airline employees have a difficult life because they work strange shifts and have moving targets as their home bases? The airlines are in a depressed state, must like the rest of the economy. OK. But what does that have to do with the living arrangements of the employees?
It just seems like this is a weird article. A group of people with the help of the airport have figured out an inexpensive way to keep two homes and keep their jobs. Yes, I guess that’s it.
Of course, it’s on a parking lot.
