The Carolinas Parking Association is affiliated with the International Parking Institute, and seeks to appeal to both the large and small institution, municipality, operator or business person with an interest in both national and regional parking related issues.

Association DescriptionThe European Parking Association (EPA), founded in 1983, is the umbrella organization for European parking associations. FPTA offers three levels of membership; Regular, Associate and Affiliate. The membership year is January 1 through December 31. FPTA strives to provide members with the tools, connections and resources necessary to succeed in the parking industry.

Association Description

Established in 1979, Florida Parking and Transportation Association (FPTA) has been dedicated to fulfilling the needs of its members. From training the valuable front-line employees, to creating one of the largest networking opportunities for learning in a state association, to bringing the latest innovation to our members, FPTA has consistently been at the top of our industry. FPTA relies on our diverse members who bring different points of views, knowledge, lessons learned through case studies, making our organization unique, relevant and successful. Association DescriptionThe Los Angeles Parking Association has been of service to the parking industry for 40 years. It has two major goals: To serve as a representative for parking interests with city, state and federal government, and to undertake community projects that will appropriately represent the members as caring corporate citizens. Legislative accomplishments include having a member named to the Air Quality Management District; aiding in the defeat of a 5 percent parking tax; successfully representing property owners with the LA city planning department regarding unreasonable landscaping requirements; assisting in defeating an EPA proposal to tax every public and private parking space in the U.S.; and defeating the proposed increase in LA parking tax from 10 to 40 percent.

Board of Directors:
The Board of Directors conducts the business of PAV including annual workshops, elections, maintenance of website and membership information, defining membership types, fees, and benefits, etc. The Board of Directors has 10 members.

  • Director terms last two years
  • Half the board is up for re-election each year
  • Election ballots are normally issued in May of each year for a two-year term beginning July 1
  • Board leadership is elected by the Board.
  • Officers for the period July 1 through June 30

 

Association Description
The Parking Association of The Virginias is a non-profit chartered corporation of the state of Virginia and licensed by the State Corporation Commission to practice business in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

It includes the state of West Virginia with association members from that state. The association became a chartered corporation in 1988 when a small group of parking professionals in the north and eastern part of the state decided that facing the daily challenges of the parking industry could be easier with help from others. Our mission is to promote the parking profession in our region.

Annual Conference & Golf Tournament – The three-day conference registration includes all educational seminars, networking and social events, tours, and meals listed on the agenda.

Association Description
The PPA began with its first meeting on December 11, 1985. The first conference was held in 1989 in Harrisburg. Since then, the conference has been held annually at cities across the state including State College, Lancaster, Harrisburg, Bethlehem, Valley Forge, Scranton, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia. Today we have over 100 members. The Association is considered one of the strongest and most active state associations in the industry, hosting an annual conference, golf outing, training events and other networking functions.

Member Description
The Texas Parking Association offers two levels of membership. Each organization must have one Regular member (voting rights) and all others must be Associate members (no voting rights).

  • Regular….$150(Voting Privileges) Representatives of municipalities or other government bodies or parking authorities, transportation authorities, boards, bureaus, commissions or departments, also including universities, colleges, airports, hospitals, stadiums and auditoriums, or other institutions having similar responsibility for the establishment, operation, maintenance, control or direction of public parking. Note: Each organization is limited to one (1) Regular member and all others must be Associate members.
  • Associate….$150 (No Voting Privileges) Representatives of the Regular and Associate members or any other individual, corporation or Association that the Board may elect.
  • Memberships are valid from January 1st – December 31st.

 

Association Description
Since 1987, the Texas Parking & Transportation Association has been a vehicle for individuals engaged with parking and transportation businesses in municipalities, hospitals, airports, universities and parking authorities. We promote the mutual interests of the membership in the provision and operation of adequate, safe, efficient, convenient and economical public parking and transportation as a proper and necessary function for the economic and social well-being of our members.The TPTA Board of Directors met in a workshop before the 2016 Conference and Tradeshow to review our mission and vision for the Association. We developed new strategies to ensure that we are adequately meeting the needs of our membership for the present, as well as the future.

Key Priorities:

  • Expand Membership – Expand regular membership by 30% in the next two years within Texas and surrounding states through personal engagement and professional marketing.
  • Enhance the Annual Conference – Review the pricing structure, expand conference offerings and create a marketing strategy to target all parking and transportation professionals in Texas and surrounding states.
  • Enhance Outreach and Communications – Improve member outreach and communications by connecting members and vendors, establish member volunteer committees, launch annual formal engagement surveys and formalize membership communication vehicles.
  • Enhance Roundtable Program – Enhance the roundtable program by instituting social/networking events in conjunction with the roundtables, identifying topics that appeal to different facets of parking and transportation, and creating a volunteer committee.
