Apple Pay Coming to Parking Panda’s Customers

Parking Panda, the nation’s leading app for on-demand parking, now brings its customers Apple Pay, a mobile payment and digital wallet service from Apple Inc. that is “transforming mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay that’s fast and convenient.”

Adding the service to the app, Parking Panda said, helps take the parking industry to “the next level with the most technologically advanced payment option.”
The service is now available to Parking Panda users in more than 40 North American cities for on-demand parking reservations at thousands of parking facilities and valets.
Security and privacy are at the core of Apple Pay. When you use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on its servers. Instead, a unique device account number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a unique, one-time dynamic security code.
“Our goal since day one has always been to make parking as easy and painless as possible,” CEO Adam Zilberbaum said. “Allowing customers to use Apple Pay provides a seamless and secure payment method. … [It] is a great fit for our on-the-go customers.”
To celebrate the launch, Parking Panda is offering customers a 10% discount off Apple Pay purchases through Aug. 31. When using the service, customers also will be eligible to win a free month or a free year of parking.
