Professional Parking Technologies LLC announced the launch of CellRaven, a groundbreaking new product that provides reliable and cost-effective cellphone connectivity throughout buildings and building complexes, as well as in parking facilities and underground parking garages.

The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute is excited to announce the winners of 2023 PCI Design Awards. Three panels of jurors honored 25 winners and eight honorable mentions for the specials, buildings, and transportation categories. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the PCI Design Awards program.

Parqour has announced the launch of its all in one parking management solution that makes the process of parking contactless and seamless for customers. Parqour leverages license plate recognition technology with 99.6 percent accuracy. Owners of parking lots and large public facilities like sports venues, restaurants, theaters and residential complexes can use Parqour to optimize their revenue.

The National Parking Association released findings from its fourth Road to Recovery Index that indicates a very strong rebound nationally. Americans are driving at levels greater than in 2019, in turn, parking operator revenue is projected to recover fully between August and December of 2023. 

The SEASIDE Institute is pleased to announce that Donald Shoup, Distinguished Research Professor in the Department of Urban Planning at UCLA, will be honored as the 2023 SEASIDE Prize recipient. In his 2005 book, The High Cost of Free Parking, Shoup changed the way cities view the relationship between parking and the built environment, traffic congestion, energy consumption, and local economic development.

Basin Transit Authority has authorized, on behalf of the California Association for Coordinated Transportation, Endera for their B-Series all-electric buses in the largest statewide purchasing contract in U.S. history. Endera was awarded the contract for up to 1,000 electric shuttles through its distribution partner, Coachwest Luxury & Performance Motorcars.

Phoenix Motorcars is proud to announce their recent deployment of 3, All-Electric, Zero-Emission Z500 trucks to the City of Salinas. The project included 1 x Zero Emission flatbed truck, and 2 x Zero Emission cargo trucks, as well as 3 x Level III charging stations. The three trucks are built on the Ford E-450 chassis powered by Phoenix Motorcars and will serve the City of Salinas in their fleet department. 

The Honolulu Department of Transportation Services said they are making efforts to modernize payment systems for the city’s transportation system. Through these efforts, 1,700 city parking meters now accept parking payments through the Park Smarter mobile app.

ParkMobile is partnering with American Bank Center, an entertainment complex in South Texas and part of the Oak View Group, to offer parking reservations. As a result, guests can reserve and guarantee parking at over 680 spaces before attending an event. ParkMobile also announced a new partnership with The Village of Mokena, IL, allowing Metra riders to pay for parking on their mobile devices at over 1,460 off-street parking spaces.

PayByPhone, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Financial Services, announces Anthony Cashel its new Chief Client Officer, joining the Management Board effective February 2023, after acting as Interim Chief Client Officer since September 2022. In his new global role, Cashel, who joined the company in 2017, will spearhead the development and execution of PayByPhone’s strategy. 

San Francisco’s Chinatown can expect a new multilingual upgrade to their parking pay stations next week. According to San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, the upgrade is expected to impact existing metered locations in the Chinatown District. Pay station interfaces will be available in simplified Chinese, English and Spanish.

EVPassport announced an agreement with National Development, one of Greater Boston’s leading multifamily developers and property managers, to install approximately 20 charging stations throughout its apartment community portfolio.

In February 2023, Denison Parking began managing parking for the 325-space parking garage for Multnomah County, Oregon. The facility is skyway-connected to the Multnomah County Government Center, known commonly as the Multnomah Building.

Blink Charging Co. announced it has teamed up with Hertz to provide FREE EV charging to Hertz customers renting electric vehicles while visiting for the big game over the weekend in the greater Phoenix area. The demand for rental cars during large, high-profile events increases significantly, and Hertz has brought in additional EV rentals to meet that need.

Park+ announced the elevation of Hitesh Gupta as Co-founder. Hitesh will continue to lead the technology vertical at Park+ as the CTO. Prior to joining Park+ Hitesh had been associated with Paytm as Head of Engineering – Payments, Chief Technology Officer – Oxigen, Senior Vice President – Engineering at Midtrans.

bp announced plans to invest $1 billion by 2030 into electric vehicle charge points across the United States. A cornerstone of the investment includes Hertz and bp announcing an intention to bring fast charging infrastructure to Hertz locations in major cities. 

Euclid Chemical, a manufacturer of concrete and masonry construction products, is pleased to announce that its synthetic microfiber product, PSI Fiberstrand REPREVE 225, has been selected as a top 10 finalist for the CONEXPO-CON/AGG Next Level Awards Program. 

eleven-x announced it was selected by Arlington County, Virginia for one of the largest municipal smart parking installations in North America. As part of the county’s mission to leverage smart city initiatives to help improve their citizens’ quality of life, the county has selected eleven-x to provide its award-winning eXactpark smart parking solution.

Modii is also pleased to announce the award of a $500,000 research grant from The North Central Texas Council of Governments to advance its research into smart campus mobility.

Vend Park announced the close of its Series Seed funding round, raising a total of $3.8 million. Additionally, the company announced the signing
of several new customers, partnerships with top parking operators, and immediate availability of new product features.

Laney Solutions announced its new partnership with Women Industry Leaders. Kathleen Laney, President of Laney Solutions, has also been appointed as a Board Director of WIL. As part of this new partnership, Laney Solutions will provide professional development, career management advice and a comprehensive career portal to WIL and their members.

Kerbside management technology innovator Grid Smarter Cities has announced its Kerb-Dock bookable loading bays located by Bankside Pier in Southwark are now live and available to use. Each bay includes a two-sided e-ink smart sign displaying booking information on one side, and air pollution alert levels on the other side.

In-Parking, a new parking management ecosystem, has come to the United States to change parking owners’ and operators’ processes from day one. With a market generating around 9 billion dollars a year, the parking industry continues experimenting with rapid growth to keep up with intelligent cities’ new challenges. 

ZipBy announced that in partnership with EasyPark, they are donating $3,687.00 to the Vancouver Food Bank, which was raised by a community give-back program to donate $1 from every parking transaction made through the ZipBy mobile app to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. The promotion ran through the holiday period from December 15 through February 2.
