Japa Smart Parking has installed car counting sensors at the parking structure at Cal Poly Pomona in California. With the help of Japa Smart Parking, Cal Poly Pomona is able to keep their parking lot full and know exactly how many spots are available for those who need them. 

Clopay Corporation’s LED Light Kit provides an illuminated visual signal for standard and high-performance overhead rolling doors and grilles. Ideal for fire and emergency services, warehouses, and parking applications, the LED light strips alert drivers to an open or closed door or grille, limiting downtime, maintenance, and repair costs.

SpotHero revealed environmental sustainability, stress and the economy are key transportation-related trends influencing drivers’ decisions, according to survey results presented in its 2023 State of Parking Report. The survey found most drivers (73.5 percent) find parking stressful, and two-thirds (68.9 percent) are cutting down on personal spending.

OMNIQ Corp. announced that it has been selected by the City of Lumpkin, Georgia to deploy its Q Shield vehicle recognition systems (VRS) technology and its cloud-based citation management platform. This technology identifies any vehicle driving through the city which is on a National Crime Information Center (NCIC) data base or the city’s local Bureau of Investigations Database.

A recent report from FMI Consulting forecasts continued growth of design-build over the next three years, despite recent industry challenges and market volatility. The city of Minneapolis says it is switching to a new provider, Flowbird, starting Sunday. That means users will need to download the new app, which app allows drivers to pay for on-street parking without having to go to a pay station.

San Bruno is one of the last cities on the Peninsula without metered parking, but that is changing as officials make plans to put in 84 parking meter kiosks for downtown and the surrounding area along with contracted enforcement. To celebrate License Plates Date, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled the first License Plate Bobbles. Bobbles for all 50 states were released, and each bobble features the state’s current license plate design on a base with two large springs that provide maximum bobbling action for each license plate. License Plates Day is celebrated annually on April 25 to commemorate the first license plate in the U.S., which was issued in 1901.

LAZ Parking announced that it has been selected to manage parking services at The Parking Club, a luxury condominium parking facility in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y. LAZ will oversee a range of services provided to parking space owners and lease holders paying monthly rent for a space at the facility. LAZ Parking announced that it has been selected to manage 1,200 parking spaces in two garages attached to and near Westchester One, a 21-story Class A office tower at 44 Broadway, White Plains NY.

In April 2023, Denison Parking began managing valet parking for STK Steakhouse in Denver, Colorado’s LoDo neighborhood. In the Denver area, Denison Parking also manages Cherry Creek Shopping Center’s valet and self-parking, along with the Catalyst Building in the RiNo (River North Art District) area.

HUB Parking is the Parking system in charge of creating the new Legoland Pre-booking / Gateless / Free-Flow Ticketless Parking based on LPR, using Survision Micropak cameras.
