AppyWay
announced its strategic partnership with Connected Kerb, a provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This collaboration aims to reshape electric vehicle charging and parking solutions, enhancing convenience and accessibility for EV drivers, whilst helping the local governments unlock the insights, they need to meet their net-zero targets.

 

Shell and Q-Park have partnered to develop a mobility hub in The Hague (The Netherlands) – parking, fast charging, picking up an e-bike or scooter, and having a fresh coffee to go. The existing Q-Park location in Amsterdamse Veerkade was a traditional parking garage with fast chargers.

 

With electric vehicles comprising a growing share of the car market, parking lot operators are faced with upgrading their operations with new technologies. Phoenix Parking Solutions continues its history of innovation by partnering with Pyramid Network Services to provide infrastructure solutions for platform-agnostic electric vehicle (EV) parking and charging.

 

Parkable announced an integration with Engrain. The combination of Parkable’s Multi-Tenant Platform and Engrain’s Unit Map technology will now allow commercial and multifamily property owners and managers to better visualize and understand the utilization of their parking spaces.

 

Conduent Transportation announced its selection by Reading Borough Council in the UK to provide on- and off-street parking enforcement services. The contract, initially for a four-year term, began in November. Conduent will provide Reading Borough Council with on- and off-street parking civil enforcement officers to oversee parking compliance while managing on- and off-street pay and display machines. 

 

Oil and gas giant BP announced that its electric vehicle charging subsidiary plans to purchase and install Tesla fast chargers across the United States as early as next year. Under the agreement, BP Pulse will purchase EV charging hardware worth some $100 million from the electric vehicle maker. This is the first time Tesla will sell its charging systems to an independent partner.

 

Vend Park announced the appointment of Tony Albanese as the new Head of Revenue. In his role, Tony will spearhead efforts to collaborate with owners and operators, offering cutting-edge parking technology solutions that eliminate manual processes and reduce maintenance costs traditionally associated with paper-based PARCS systems.

 

Verra Mobility Corporation announced that it has been named to the Fortune 100 Fastest-Growing Companies list for 2023. Verra Mobility ranked 98th on the prestigious list, which ranks global companies based on growth in revenue, profits and stock returns over a three-year period. “Our customer-centric growth playbook has delivered 23% annualized growth over the past 3 years,” said CEO David Roberts.

 

FLEETCOR Technologies, Inc. announced the acquisition of PayByPhone. The acquisition expands FLEETCOR’s vehicle payment solution set for both its fleet customers and consumers. PayByPhone is a leading digital parking payment provider with over 6 million active monthly users who find and pay for parking in a network of more than 1,350 parking operators in North America and Europe.

 

ChargePoint announced that it has been recognized as the top ranking company in the Guidehouse Insights Leaderboard for EV Charger Networking Companies. The report analyzes brands based on strategy and execution in developing, marketing, and selling EV charging solutions. ChargePoint also announced the milestone of one million quarterly active drivers on its network. To celebrate the occasion, ChargePoint rolled out a major update to its driver app, which millions of drivers rely on to find, charge and pay for the fueling of their EV. 

 

Propark Mobility announced that it has acquired Atlantic Parking, a parking management company that serves clients and customers in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. “We are thrilled to welcome Atlantic Parking and Marty Janis to the Propark family,” said David Schmid, CEO of Propark Mobility. Propark Mobility also announced that the company has promoted Courtney Keany to Chief Legal Officer. As Chief Legal Officer, Courtney will become the first woman to sit on Propark’s executive board. In this role, she will provide legal guidance and innovative solutions that will drive the company forward, align legal and business strategies to enable value creation, guide legal and regulatory matters for Propark, and more.

Chad Snyder has been promoted to Managing Director for the Parking Consulting team’s Houston office, serving the central region of the country effective immediately. With over 25 years of experience, Chad specializes in master planning, shared use analysis, functional design, pedestrian and vehicular wayfinding, and parking technology integration.

 

Using real-time data and artificial intelligence, an app called Parknav is nearing launch in Davidson, N.C. to help neighbors find parking in town. Town leaders are testing the app to cut down on the headaches of finding an open spot along the busy Main Street corridor. Parknav uses harvested data and that of other users to dictate which streets have higher percentages of open spaces.

 

TagMaster North America, Inc. proudly announced the successful deployment of its Long-Range RFID solution in collaboration with DESIGNA Mexico at Miyana, a massive 5,600,000 square feet mixed-use development in Mexico City’s Nuevo Polanco district. LG Electronics will enter the rapidly growing U.S. electric vehicle charger market in 2024 with the introduction of its first line of AC- and DC-powered EV charging stations. According to LG Business Solutions USA’s Senior Vice President Nicolas Min, the line will include Level 2 and Level 3 EV chargers, opening new opportunities for businesses, municipalities and other public places to support electrification with independently owned and operated charging stations.

Škoda is expanding its digital services to include Pay to Fuel in collaboration with our partner organization Parkopedia, who Škoda also works with for the existing Pay to Park service. The new Pay to Fuel service makes paying after refueling quicker and more convenient for Škoda drivers, with motorists able to save time by paying directly through the car’s infotainment system.

In his new position, Chris will oversee sales, marketing, and related activity for the pioneering EV charging company.
