Conduent Incorporated announced the appointment of Rahul Gupta as Chief Technology and Product Officer (CTPO). Based in Florham Park, Rahul will be responsible for end-to-end product and platform management including implementation, maintenance and innovation. He will also be responsible for product roadmaps, product marketing, collaborating with lines of business and clients on product strategy and driving strategic technology partnerships. 

FlashParking announced the appointment of Jeffrey Johnson as the Vice President of Enterprise Solutions. As a part of Johnson’s new position at FlashParking, he will design, build, test, launch and manage enterprise solutions for current clients and new prospects, expanding upon the company’s current services. Johnson will focus on driving FlashParking’s revenue and profit growth, as well as educating companies on how they can gain more value and increase return.

David Wantman, PE proudly announces that Robert Hanson is joining national design firm WGI as Vice President – Geospatial. “Bob has spent his entire career leading the evolution of the geospatial profession, from U.S. Army Topographic School in the 1970s and NOAA National Ocean Survey Bathymetric Compilation Training in 1980, through close to four decades of the application of every new technology, up to his last position as chief scientist and industry expert for a large, international firm,” says Wantman.

Dan Moser, PE, SE (Chicago) serves as the Senior Director of Restoration and oversees the firm’s forensic restoration work in the Midwest. Al Bustamante, PE (Houston) is the national Director of Forensic Restoration and is responsible for coordinating the firm’s activities in this arena. Scott Froemming, PE (Minneapolis) has been with WALKER since 1998 as a Project Manager and Parking Consultant. In addition to his current position as Managing Principal, Scott has been the Project Manager for the 2200 space carpark at Eppley Air Field in Omaha, NE. James Warner, PE (Houston) is currently serving as Director of WALKER’s Resources Group as well as Director of Operations for WALKER’s three offices in Texas (Houston East and West, Dallas).  

A new facility, designed and built by PARKPLUS, is the largest automated parking system on Manhattan island. Opened December, 2018, it offers robotically operated parking and retrieval for patients and visitors of a large hospital complex on the east side of Manhattan. “This system provides 119 spaces in approximately 30,000 sf on 4 floors. That’s up to 30 percent more cars than a conventional garage,” states Ryan Astrup, Director at PARKPLUS.

Complete Coach Works (CCW) is proud to welcome Mitch Guralnick as the company’s Director of Business Development. Guralnick will be responsible for driving business and increasing revenue, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and expanding the presence of the company and its brands. He joins the CCW team from MCI Sales & Service Inc. During his successful tenure, starting in 1999 at MCI, he directed service, sales, and business development efforts. 

Huntsville, home to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, has taken one giant leap into the digital age of parking. Today, the City of Huntsville announced the launch of Passport Parking, a mobile application that allows users to pay for parking through their smartphones. There will be more than 400 spaces available for easy pay-by-smartphone options in the downtown Huntsville area. 

Michelle Copas was named Eastern Regional Sales Manager in January, 2019, for The Toledo Ticket Company, a leading provider of ticketing solutions since 1910. Michelle has more than 20 years of parking industry cross-functional experience, including channel sales, client development, customer service, and consulting management. “Michelle is the ideal addition to Toledo Ticket,” said Thomas Carter, President/COO and fourth generation family member of The Toledo Ticket Company. 

Award winning digital parking company Parkpnp has announced a new investment of €500k to launch their ParkOffice product which smartly maximizes the use of limited company parking. ParkOffice automates employee parking, allowing parking professionals to reduce their workload and spend in relation to office parking management. The funding will see Parkpnp roll out their new SaaS product across Europe & the U.S. 

Fulham Co., Inc., a leading supplier of lighting components and electronics for commercial and specialty applications, today announced that Chris Veira has been promoted from Southwest Distribution Manager to Director of Sales, North American Distribution. Harold Thompson, who has been serving as Northeast OEM Manager, also has been promoted to Director of Sales, North American OEM. The changes come following the retirement of Richard White, Vice President, U.S. Distribution Channel, and the departure of Mike Bauer, VP of Global Sales. 

Andrew White has been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President for Associated Time. During his tenure, Andrew has helped Associated Time achieve new heights and record its highest sales in company history during 2018. “Andrew is exactly the type of individual we want to help lead this Company now and into the future” stated Christopher Archer, President & CEO of Associated Time.

Like many outlying regions, the ability of Argyll and Bute Council to capitalize on the benefits of virtual and self-serve customer service solutions has been compromised by mobile network limitations. However, the authority has wasted no time in capitalizing on network improvements in the region by working with Imperial and introducing the company’s cashless payment systems for parking, virtual permits for residents and real-time enforcement measures.

With HecSpot, Hectronic’s cloud-based system for parking space surveillance, the problem is solved. The system provides real-time information about the parking space occupancy and valuable forecasts of the use of parking space to be expected. 

Airpark Parking near the Newark Airport now utilizing netPark’s cloud based PARCS, prepaid reservation system, customer loyalty program and the Hamilton line of parking hardware. Airpark Parking Newark provides parking services for EWR travelers. Airpark customers are able to reserve and prepay for a parking space which allows for a hassle free, ticketless process. Customers receive a text or email containing a QR code which can be scanned for entry and exit from the parking facility.

The City of Grand Rapids, Michigan, has partnered with Flowbird Group, a global supplier of urban mobility solutions, to undergo a large expansion of smart parking kiosks within the fast-growing community. Upon completion, the city will utilize over 700 Flowbird Strada Pay Stations integrated with mobile phone payment and enforcement solutions. The City of Tulsa, Oklahoma has begun the final transition to pay-by-plate parking in partnership with Flowbird Group. The changeover is part of the City’s plan to remove all outdated parking meters within the year, replacing them with Flowbird’s Strada multi-space pay stations. 

Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) for the parking garages located in Lake Nona Town Center in Orlando, Fla. The growing, mixed-use 100-acre regional shopping and entertainment destination is just 25 minutes from downtown Orlando in the center of Lake Nona’s bustling, neo-urban community. Lake Nona Town Center will expand with the addition of a Cinépolis Luxury Cinema, 110,000-square-foot health and wellness facility, and Boxi Park, an outdoor entertainment district, all coming soon.

AppyParking, the curbside management and smart parking technology firm, has announced their Smart City Parking solution is now fully available to Harrogate’s residents. The launch represents an important milestone in the UK start-up’s mission to provide transformative user experiences for motorists and data-driven solutions for local authorities. The Smart City Parking solution is the first of its kind to integrate technical capabilities such as smart parking sensors, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) barriers and sensor-enabled payments into a consolidated system.

Passport announced the launch of a comprehensive parking management solution in St. Augustine. The city is rolling out a new mobile app to facilitate parking payments, ParkStAug, and has upgraded its parking enforcement software. Later this year, the city will also be introducing an online system for digital parking permits. The ParkStAug app provides an alternative payment option for residents and visitors who park in St. Augustine. 

The Pensacola Downtown Improvement Board (DIB) has partnered with Passport to provide a new digital permit system and a mobile payment app, Passport Parking. The end-to-end parking system provides flexibility and choice, serving residents who need an annual or monthly permit, drivers who periodically park downtown, and out-of-town visitors who need an easy way to pay while exploring the city.

INDECT USA and PARKING GUIDANCE SYSTEMS today jointly announce their latest installation at the Gun Lake Casino in Wayland, Michigan. An INDECT level counting system was successfully installed in the newly constructed, multi-level parking garage monitoring over 960 spaces as well as a new VIP section. This marks the completion of the final stage of the casino’s $76 million expansion project, which began in 2016. INDECT USA also announces the successful installation of a first-class parking area at ROW Self Park Garage in downtown Chicago. The entire first ramp of ROW garage has been transformed into a first-class parking experience with 40 wider spaces, brighter LED lighting and INDECT’s Upsolut camera-based parking guidance system. INDECT USA has been chosen as the preferred parking guidance system for Washington’s new luxury lifestyle center, The Village, located at Totem Lake. A total of 1625 INDECT ultrasonic sensors with extended LED lights will be installed to help guide residents and shoppers quickly and easily to the nearest available space.

Advanced technology introduced by Rytec Corporation now allows real-time monitoring of its high-speed, high-performance doors. Using cloud-based technology, door activity can be remotely monitored by individual or multiple users simultaneously, for single or multiple doors and locations. Doors also may be opened or closed from nearly anywhere via text using cellphone or online through the cloud.

Voted one of ‘The Best Travel Apps of 2018’ by PCMag.com, FLIO works together with partners to improve passengers’ airport experience through mobile. The newly agreed technology partnership will allow FLIO’s app users to access ParkCloud’s extensive inventory of 205 global airport parking locations, enabling customers to pre-book their parking prior to departure. Mobile customers will be able to search, browse and choose from a varied selection of airport parking products.

ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in the U.S., announced today a new partnership with the City of Portsmouth that will enable residents and visitors to pay for parking from their mobile devices. The free ParkMobile app will be available beginning February 15th at 800 on- and off-street parking spaces around the city.

The Lancaster Parking Authority has installed eight automated external defibrillators (AEDs), in six garages and offices to help individuals who might experience a sudden cardiac arrest. Anyone can use the devices and individuals attempting to save a life are covered by the Good Samaritan state statute that protects them from being sued. AEDs are medical devices that can check the rhythm of the heart and deliver electrical shocks to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.

Circontrol has designed Cosmos, a cloud-based platform that collect and store data from a specific set of EV chargers for monitoring and reporting. This platform has an intuitive and user-friendly dashboard that allows making customizable reports by user, charger, consumption and tariffs, including invoice’s simulation.
