JuiceBar, a manufacturer of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations has launched a line of chargers that deliver a safe and fast vehicle charging experience and which do not require network servicing agreements. “JuiceBar has future-proofed its Gen 3 chargers by providing the highest levels of power and charging speeds in preparation for the longer range,” said Paul Vosper, President and CEO of JuiceBar.

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has upgraded its network of CCTV cameras after switching to a new hosted Videalert platform to enforce a wide range of moving traffic contraventions including weight limits, bus lanes, banned turns and box junctions. The five-year contract will see the replacement of the legacy Siemens attended and unattended CCTV enforcement camera solution.

Parker Technology signed 27 new deals in Q2. The new agreements include parking management companies across 13 states, in the following verticals: real estate, higher education, healthcare, and private operations. “We are proud that our customers view our service as being essential to their operations in these challenging times,” said Brian Wolff, President & CEO of Parker Technology. 

The Town of Wellesley, Vancouver, British Columbia, is now offering the PayByPhone app to create a safer, and more efficient parking experience for both the town’s residents and visitors. PayByPhone is available for 300 on-street and 955 off-street spaces throughout Wellesley’s three major business districts. PayByPhone has partnered with Cleveland, Ohio, and Fort Lee, New Jersey, to provide contactless, simple parking experiences for residents and visitors, at a total of 1225 spaces spread across the downtown core. 

Visitors and employees of the new U.S. Navy Headquarters in downtown San Diego will enjoy more convenient parking with the installation of EnSight Technologies’ advanced parking guidance technology. Access Professional Systems (APS) has teamed up again with EnSight Technologies to install EnSight’s camera-based parking guidance solutions for the new navy complex, which is located adjacent to the city’s beautiful marina. 

The City of Las Vegas, in partnership with Flowbird Group, has launched a new mobility solution, combining on-street and off-street parking into a personalized, seamless experience. The Flowbird App, a multi-solution application, combines an advanced user interface, congestion optimization and off-street parking reservations to offer the ultimate one-of-a-kind mobile solution. 

Envision Solar International, Inc. announced that the City of San Luis Obispo, California has deployed the solar-powered EV ARC™ 2020 to provide EV charging for city fleet vehicles. The EV ARC™ infrastructure product which is powering a ChargePoint dual-plug charger is deployed adjacent to City Hall and includes an emergency power panel that can be used by first responders. It also announced that Baker Electric deployed two of the company’s Solar Tree® solar-powered sustainable infrastructure products for the Ocean Discovery Institute in San Diego.

Fleet Advantage announced results of its latest fleet industry benchmarking survey showing the impact new safety technologies have had on transportation fleets, how many fleets are still driving older-model trucks, and the leading reasons motivating upgrade decisions. The survey also shows the continued low demand for electric and autonomous trucks. 

Greg Sellick has joined TEZ as its new Chief Financial Officer. Greg brings to TEZ tremendous experience of the parking sector and client organizations. Ken Lovegreen, CEO, commented: “We’re excited that Greg joined our leadership team at TEZ. Yamaha Bicycles is taking a massive leap into the all-mountain e-Bike segment today, announcing the coming of two new models. The YDX-MORO and YDX-MORO Pro models promise to deliver a new level of balanced power, performance and handling for riders on all types of e-mountain bike (e-MTB) trails. 

The City of Hamilton, Ontario is now offering the Passport Parking app to its residents and visitors. The app, which allows users to pay for parking and extend their sessions from their smartphones, is available at approximately 5,400 on-street and off-street parking spaces. The Village of Pelham also announced the launch of Passport Parking, a digital application that allows parkers the option of paying with their smartphones as an additional option to the traditional “coin-only” choice. With Passport Parking, the Village will manage all aspects of parking management, including digital permits and enforcement, under one operating system.

Delta Scientific announced that they have reached a milestone in achieving job number 10,000. That translates to over 9,800 wedge barricades, 1,100 gates, 5,300 beam barriers, 23,000 bollards and thousands of traffic spikes and gate arms. The first order was entered into the system in 1974 for what is now the Sabre Tooth Traffic Control with Tire Spikes that enforces “One Way” traffic flow for parking facilities or other single direction vehicle lanes.

Honk and London International Airport announced today a joint partnership to bring airport parking completely cashless. The cashless initiative demonstrates the strong commitment from both parties to create the safest and cleanest airport parking experience for travelers and airport staff. When paying with Honk, drivers have two ways to safely reserve and pay for airport parking via Honk’s touch-free payments.

In a unanimous vote, the Board of Directors of the Miami Parking Authority appointed Alejandra “Alex” Argudin as its next chief executive officer. Alex becomes the first woman CEO of the MPA in more than six decades of its existence, Alex brings over 13 years of experience at the Authority, nine of which have been as Chief Operations Officer. In that capacity, she has led a number of forward-thinking initiatives that have positioned the Authority as a leader in the parking industry.

SenSen Networks Ltd recorded two of its best-ever cash flow quarters in the 2020 financial year. In the June quarter, the company received its highest ever quarterly cash receipts of A$1.43 million from customers, which represented around a 150% increase on the 2019 corresponding quarter and around 90%on the March 2020 quarter.

Diversified Labeling Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of TSC Auto ID Technology is expanding its product offering to include parking citation and pay station supplies. Products will include thermal print media such as custom citation rolls for mobile printers as well as pay-and-display/pay station rolls. DLS is also offering custom printed citation books and remittance envelopes.

Cerence Inc. launched Cerence Pay, a new product that delivers a secure, contactless payment experience in the car through voice-powered AI. Cerence Pay is designed to anticipate drivers’ needs and provide a seamless payment transaction from intent to authentication via voice and facial biometrics and through to purchase. 

Traffic and Parking Control Company, Inc., manufacturer, distributor and service provider of traffic and parking control products, announces it has been awarded a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract for a proposed physical intervention enhancement to its industry-leading wrong-way safety solutions.

Park Assist has been selected by Alberici Healthcare and SSM Health to install its M4 and S1 Parking Guidance Systems at Saint Louis University Hospital’s new medical campus. This new healthcare facility is an 800,000-square-foot hospital and outpatient care center built to incorporate patient-centered design while providing exceptional care and improving the patient experience. Park Assist has also been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Mohegan Sun, located in Uncasville, Connecticut, and operated by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment. 

Alchemco, a full-line global manufacturer of products used to clean, repair, protect, and waterproof concrete and masonry structures has taken another step in its strategic plan of growth through acquisition. Alchemco announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Tecnorap Sistemas Construtivos, a specialty construction distributor serving the Brazilian territory. 

Phoenix Motorcars, a manufacturer of medium duty all-electric buses and trucks delivered its first ZEUS 500 Electric Cargo Truck to C&V Contractors, a family owned contracting business based out of Sacramento, California. Funded through the Sacramento Emergency Clean Air & Transportation Grant Program, the zero emission box truck deployment highlights the appetite amongst fleets in California to choose cleaner, sustainable transportation options. 

B&B Parking is partnering with ParkMobile to allow Atlantic City visitors and residents to easily and safely pay for street parking using their mobile devices. ParkMobile has announced a new multi-year partnership with Spectra, an industry provider in venue management, hospitality and partnerships, to become the company’s official parking reservations provider. ParkMobile has also announced a new partnership with EasyPark Vancouver to provide contactless parking payments in over 100 off-street lots throughout the city and the launch of service on Mississippi State University’s campus in Starkville, Mississippi. 

Blink Charging Co. announced the appointment of Michael C. Battaglia as Vice President of Sales. Battaglia brings over 25 years of automotive and technology experience to Blink, including most recently as Vice President of Sales for the Global Automotive Division at J.D. Power. Blink Charging Co. has signed an agreement with global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield for the marketing and potential deployment of Blink charging stations.

GKD-USA, a provider of woven metal fabric for architectural solutions, has promoted Dale Payne to Chief Engineer. Payne successfully obtained his Professional Engineering License for the State of Maryland which triggered the immediate promotion. The license is obtained through education, work experience, passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and the Principles and Practice of Engineering exam.

IBI Group, in collaboration with Northeast Traffic Control Services, Inc. and Green International Affiliates, Inc., has been selected to provide the Statewide Travel Time System ‘GoTime’ for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The GoTime system leverages multiple datasets to determine reliable traveler information that gets communicated to the
public via Mass511.com, as well as portable variable message signs
along highways.

ChargePoint, a Campbell, Calif.-based electric vehicle (EV) charging network, closed $127m in incremental equity financing. The company will use the latest funding to expand its commercial and fleet portfolio in North America and Europe and continue to scale policy, marketing and sales efforts. Led by Pasquale Romano, President and CEO, ChargePoint operates a large EV charging network and a complete portfolio of charging solutions. 

Faced with aging equipment and out of data technology ABM Aviation and Memphis International Airport turned to Schweers to develop a fast, accurate and cost-effective License Plate Inventory Solution. Daily, each parked car is scanned using our handheld Politess LPR Inventory app on rugged Zebra devices.  A complete tally of all parked cars is made in a web based hosted office available for any authorized user complete with photos linked with location and time stamp.
