Parker Technology recently announced the promotion of Tammy Baker, formerly VP of Client Experience, to Chief Operating Officer. She has been responsible for building a team and scaling operations to meet and exceed customer expectations and for leading Parker’s efforts to develop and launch a new software platform. 

The Town of Bloomsburg, Penn. has announced the city-wide expansion of Pango Mobile Payment for parking and the ZEUS Enforcement solution. “We are excited with this expansion and the continued growth of our Pango solutions,” stated President and the CEO John J. Incandela.

Q-Free announced the sale of its parking division to the unit’s executive vice president, Dave Radford. Morten Andersson, Q-Free’s senior executive vice president of traffic management, says the sale will benefit all stakeholders.

The state of Iowa’s Department of Transportation, is currently conducting a large sale of surplus assets to the public on GovDeals. Blink Charging Co. will acquire European EV charging operator Blue Corner N.V., based in Antwerp, Belgium, and its portfolio of 7,071 charging ports and a robust European charging network. The acquisition gives Blink complete operational control of Blue Corner and its EV charging assets. 

Beam Global announced that a globally recognized entertainment franchise has deployed the EV ARC™ solar-powered EV charging system. “This is the first use of EV ARC systems by the entertainment industry. However, we anticipate growth in the area,” said Beam Global CEO Desmond Wheatley. Beam Global announced an order from the California Department of General Services for 52 Beam Global EV ARC™ solar-powered EV charging systems. Beam Global also announced that EV ARC™ solar-powered EV charging systems will be deployed by Construction Art, a commercial design and construction company, at two locations in South Carolina.

Gtechna has partnered with three new Canadian cities: Markham, Goderich, and Mississauga, Ontario. Mississauga underwent significant change after gtechna was awarded a five-year contract through the city’s RFP in August of 2020.

Mayor Brandon Scott and the Parking Authority of Baltimore City and the Department of Transportation announced that the last of the city’s on-street Pay and Display parking meters have been replaced with new Pay by License Plate parking meters. 

LAZ Parking Chairman and CEO Alan B. Lazowski announced that LAZ has acquired Serco Parking Services, the parking enforcement, and parking meter management services of Serco Inc. LAZ Parking also announced that it has partnered with Applico, Inc. to support the digital transformation of its services and the parking industry. Applico will help LAZ incorporate “proximity on-demand” services or PODS into its traditional parking operations. LAZ Parking announced that it has been selected by the City of Syracuse, NY, to be the sole operator of its municipal parking garages. 

There remains a significant shortage of drivers in the trucking industry. A growing number of companies in the trucking and transportation industry, including Fleet Advantage, are realizing the unique skillsets that women offer. Organizations like Women in Trucking also have been instrumental in advocating for women to learn more about opportunities in the industry. The solution is powered by the Intel distribution of the OpenVINO Toolkit to run AI inferencing models on Intel Xeon scalable processors and Intel Movidius VPUs. can help the parking industry get paid. eParkingCitation is a FREE service. eParkingCitation taps a nationwide VIN database to find registered and legal owners and lien holders, and it allows users to send “pay now” notifications to lien holders and owners using the VIN instead of the license plate.

The parking technology company EasyPark and the mobile technology company Fortumo are today launching carrier billing payments for parking in Switzerland. Over 8 million people in the country can now easily pay for their parking via EasyPark parking-app, all over Switzerland by charging the fee to their phone bill.

Mobility startup and smart parking pioneer ‘Get My Parking’ (GMP) announced a fundraise of INR 43 crores led by IvyCap Ventures. Existing investor IAN Fund also participated in the round.
