Premium Parking announced its acquisition of Buffalo-based Allpro Parking LLC. The transaction combines two leaders in parking management, aligning Allpro’s operational expertise, strong leadership and community-minded service with Premium’s full-stack, customer-first technology. The acquisition also expands Premium’s presence across the Midwest and Northeast, creating the nation’s largest network of entrepreneur-led parking markets.

Propark Mobility announced that the company has purchased Los Angeles-based Imperial Parking Industries, Inc. expanding its area portfolio by 75 percent. “As a leader in the Los Angeles area, Imperial Parking offers a regional expertise that, when combined with Propark’s national network and back-end systems, will propel both companies forward,” said David Schmid, Propark’s Chief Investment Officer. Propark Mobility announced that Brenda Freije has been promoted to Vice President of Business Analytics. After joining Propark in 2019, Brenda quickly became an integral member of the company’s Business Analytics Division.

eleven-x has been awarded a contract by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to improve the parking experience on the 104-acre main campus by enabling a frictionless parking experience for students, faculty, visitors and staff. The company will deploy its eXactpark parking monitoring solution, which combines sensor-based space occupancy monitoring, real-time data, and intelligent enforcement amongst other features based on its comprehensive software platform.

Genetec Inc. announced that the Miami Marlins Major League Baseball team has dramatically reduced parking wait times and improved parking payment compliance at its home stadium, loanDepot park, using Genetec AutoVu Free-Flow and the AutoVu Mobile Post Payment plug-in. The high-tech stadium is located in a residential neighborhood in downtown Miami with a challenging roadway infrastructure and few mass transit alternatives. 

WGI, Inc. announced that Matthew Feagins has joined the firm as Senior Parking Designer. A nationally recognized parking consultant with over 30 years of experience, Feagins has overseen the functional design of hundreds of parking structures across the United States. “Matt Feagins is a tremendous addition to the WGI parking design team,” said David Wantman, PE, Chief Executive Officer of WGI Inc.

TagMaster North America, Inc. announces the successful implementation of the TrackFlow – the advanced GTMS – at Spokane International Airport, WA. The high-performance RFID systems and LPR technologies deployed for the Airport address a wide range of challenges in the commercial vehicle sector for ground transportation management, vehicle tracking, auditing, and reporting.

The Southwest Parking and Transportation Association and the California Mobility and Parking Association held their annual conferences in October and November. More than 300 attended the SWPTA event in Las Vegas, and over 400 the CMPA meeting in Los Angeles. The two organizations held their traditional themes, with SWPTA hosting a major networking event while CMPA focused on seminars and a trade show. 

Parker Technology announced that Kent King has joined the team as the new VP of Sales. King comes with 7+ years of experience in the parking and mobility industry and over 16 years of B2B sales experience. In Kent’s role at Parker, he will lead the sales department and will play a crucial role in continuing to expand and grow Parker Technology’s client base. 

Derq has won the Global ITS Innovation Competition at this year’s ITS World Congress, which took place September 18-22 in Los Angeles, CA. As the Global ITS Innovation Competition connects start-up innovators with government representatives, start-up funders, and other innovation technology market leaders, Derq’s industry-leading SENSE and INSIGHT solutions were selected over seven other finalists.

Concord Parking is now providing parking enforcement and parking management services for Kwantlen Polytechnic University on four of its campuses in British Columbia: Richmond, Surrey, Cloverdale, and Langley. KPU has become the flagship client of Concord’s new SMRTpass technology, which lets users quickly pay for parking or validate their license plate using only QR codes without having to download an app. As part of the Concord CTRL parking management software, this has proven to be an ideal solution for KPU’s parking challenges.

Fleet Advantage announced that Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Katerina Jones; Senior Fleet Transaction Analyst and Project Manager, Jackie Jacobs, CLFP; and Marketing Manager, Elizabeth Gomez, were recipients of the Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2022 Women in Supply Chain Award. The EPD updates CRSI’s previous EPD published in 2017 and is available for download here or on the CRSI website.

The Republic of Srpska, part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has approximately 100 km of the highway network currently covered by a toll system, including nine toll plazas with about 55 toll lanes. On the highway connecting the cities of Banja Luka and Doboj, the modern toll collection system enables charging all highway users according to their distance traveled and vehicle class. Tattile Basic Short-Range cameras are installed on all entrance lanes to capture ANPR data and obtain fast and secure vehicle transits.

Mobile Smart City has entered a partnership with City of York, ME to provide Pango Mobile Payment for their parking operations. Pango is a customer friendly, easy-to-use app that customers can now manage their parking experience via their mobile phone. The app will combine the ease of paying for parking with funding source choices of credit card, Pango Wallet, supported by PayPal, and Venmo. 

Beam Global announced that a global top 40 company in the oil and gas industry has begun using the company’s EV ARC™ system to provide workplace charging. Beam Global also announced receiving the Sustainability Initiative of the Year award from the Business Intelligence Group in the 2022 Sustainability Awards program. The Sustainability Awards honor those people, teams and organizations who have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice or overall mission.
