Park for Pink – Ace Parking Campaign

In October, ACE’s award-winning PARK FOR PINK campaign entered its seventh consecutive year of raising awareness and generating funds to aid in the fight against cancer with a new initiative aimed at drawing attention to the disproportionate impact cancer has on the Black community.

According to the American Cancer Society, “Blacks have the highest death rate and shortest survival of any racial/ethnic group in the U.S. for most cancers” and “breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed in Black women.”

Statistically, Black women are 42 percent more likely to die from breast cancer than white women despite having a lower incidence rate. For our 2020 PARK FOR PINK campaign, ACE is proud to partner with Sisters Network® Inc. (SNI), the nation’s largest and only national Black breast cancer survivor-run organization, with Affiliate chapters in over 20 cities, and a leader in the Black Breast Cancer movement.

Since 1994, Sisters Network Inc. has been committed to increasing local and national attention to the devastating impact that breast cancer has in the Black community.

Similar to past collaborations with Susan G. Komen Foundation, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Challenged Athletes Foundation, and others, ACE has committed to promote SNI and provide a contribution to their Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP) which provides financial assistance to breast cancer survivors and provides mammograms for early detection.

In addition to supporting Black women, BCAP also provides support for Hispanic, Asian, Caucasian, and other women.

ACE is proud of its 2020 PARK FOR PINK campaign and believes it can make a positive impact on cancer survivorship. For additional information about Sisters Network Inc. or to make a donation, please go to donate.sistersnetworkinc.org.
