PIE Attendees to Get Full Info: ‘Parking Boot Camp’ Expanded

Top Kick Chuck Cullen has expanded “Parking Boot Camp” at this year’s Parking Industry Exhibition – Aug. 23-25 in Chicago – with three two-hour sessions that will bring those new to the industry up to speed in the fastest possible way.
“We’ll work them hard, they’ll sweat,” he says. “I truly believe in ‘no pain, no gain.'”
If you have five years or less in the industry, this course is for you. Or if you supervise a parking operation, come to boot camp. Asset managers, university and municipal parking managers, and even “newbie” garage managers will benefit greatly.
The three sessions, run in the morning of each day at PIE, will have an expert in the field bringing information to you in a fashion that is easy to understand.
Cullen, of the Consulting Engineers Group and formerly head of parking for the City of Cincinnati, leads off on Wednesday, Aug. 23, with an overview of the parking profession, with definitions, legal issues, demand projections, and details including outsourcing and resources.
Thursday’s session, led by one of PIE’s most heralded presenters, Robert Milner of the University of Maryland, Baltimore, gets into the details of delivering parking services. Both on- and off-street are stressed, with operations, staffing, enforcement management, safety and security leading the topics.
Friday is business day – be sure you collect the money. Two experts in the field, Dennis Cunning and Larry Donaghue, team up to cover the basics of revenue control, equipment selection and auditing. These two have nearly a century of experience to share with you.
A complete course outline is on PT’s website: www.parkingtoday.com.
