I was researching an article for this month’s Parking Today and I was struck by how little has changed in the past decade. We are basically writing the same stories about the same issues — Pay on Foot, Garage construction, revenue control, technology. Sure we are a bit smarter in our presentation, but the basics are still the same.
I was gratified to notice that a couple of articles in those first issues were about Herb Citrin and Valet Parking Service. That was the company’s 50th year and this is its 60th. Herb is certainly one of the parking legends. At 84 he has just retired after building a company over six decades.
