Lets see….First of all Logan International Airport in Boston is building a 2500 car garage. During construction it is losing 1500 spaces (where the garage is being built.) So the net increase is 1000 cars. My guess is that the garage will cost $50-$75MM or maybe more. And every one will say that that’s $30,000 a space — but actually its $50,000 for each new space added. But that’s not what this article’s about.
Seems that parking is now really scare at Logan and officials are working to solve the problem.
Solutions:
1. Low cost park and ride.
2 50% discount on bus service
But here’s the one I really think might work:
They are setting up a "gold Passport" reserved parking area. For an up front fee of $200 and an additional $5 a day, a parking can guarantee themselves a reserved spot. Now that’s creative thinking and will work.
