Aussies Consider asking Representatives to Pay for Parking

Here’s a shocker: Those who serve as elected representatives in New South Wales don’t pay for parking and its costing a bunch. Read about it here.

The New Sheriff in town seems to feel that elected officials should pay for their own parking, and pay for their own office space. OK, they get some allowances for that, but according to this article, they are getting off pretty easy. They are paying $4 a day to park (based on 200 days) versus the market rate of $50. This is cosing the city a bunch.

It’ll be interesting to see just how long treasurer Michael Costa keeps his job.
