Before they Sue

Perhaps they should understand the law…In Pacific Grove resettable meters have been installed so that when a car leaves a spot, the meter is reset to "0" and the next driver has to pay for their time. My assumption is that the city near California’s Monterrey simply follows most others that in saying that once you have left the parking space, your forfeit and time you have left.

Of course the local are up in arms. Read about it here.

This is certainly the case with off street garages that charge by the increment. For instance — $1 an hour or portion there of.

The local’s goal seems to be to use someone elses money to park. Typical victim mentality. They will probably force the city to change all the meters to add the words "or portion thereof." Oh, well, if it must be…

Some of the local residents think that when they put a quarter in the meter they have bought the spot for the hour.  and they can do anything they like with it  — like store trash or set up a business. — for the hour. Sigh…
