OK, Scott Kangas just stopped me on the floor of the IPI show and beat me up for missing a couple of blogging days. He’s right — I’m a failure.
However, here’s the poop from the show.
Its big, its glossy, and unfortunately in Ft. Lauderdale. The weather is hot and muggy, but inside the hall its great, now that the attendees have arrived — They kept the AC off during setup. I think most of the exhibitors lost an average of 10 pounds as they set up their booths.
News Flash:
The IPI reelected it’s board of directors, dropping past Chairman Sam Vennero and moving Chairman Melinda Anderson from the Medical U of SC as Past Chairman.
Dorothy LM Harris of Denver Intl is the new Chairman
Maurice Anderson of the Toronto Parking Authority is the new Vice Chairman
Doug Holmes from Penn State was elected Secretary/Treasurer
Other board members include Michael Simmons of T2, Michael Swartz of Standard Parking, Cindy Campbell of Cal Poly, Lance Lunsway of University of Wisconsin, John Nolan of Harvard, Michael Penny of Charlotte/Douglas International Airport. Lillian Rambo of the City of Houston was elected as a new board member.
