Rick West is a legend in the parking business. He has started, bought, and sold off-airport parking operations as well as run urban parking operations. He knows the business inside out. In the past decade, Rick has been advising banks and parking companies on the financial end of this business. Whenever I needed some information on that part of parking, he was my “go to” guy. He has been consulting with Central since it was purchased in 2007 by an investment group made up of Kohlberg & Company, Lubert-Adler Partners, and Chrysalis Capital Partners. The Central Board hired James A Marcum to replace Emmanuel Eads as CEO in early February. This is a fascinating company to watch. Change is certainly in the air.
