We’ll. I hope that headline isn’t like the one that noted "President Dewey" beating Truman in the Chicago Tribune a few decades back, but rumor control has it that the Airport in Harrisburg, PA, is withdrawing its eminent domain suit against Stan Cramer’s Off Airport Parking Operation and may even cough up expenses for Stan.
Its a great win for Cramer who has been fighting for his business life for the past two years. If you have been following PT and the blog entries over the past year or so, you will know that the airport has been trying to take Stan’s business by eminent domain. Stan happens to be located right next to the airport entry and the Airport Manager wanted him out. There was a lot of "reasons" but reality was that Stan was cutting in to the airport parking revenue and the bureaucrat figured he could cut out the competition.
Stan is just ornery enough to stand up against the airport and it looks like, after a number of court appearances, that the airport has folded. The retirement of the airport manager may have had a lot to do with it.
I’ll give you the full report when the final information comes down.
One for the good guys.
