I just heard the Dick Roti, one of the founders of International Parking Design passed away Christmas Eve.
I didnt’ know Dick well, but I knew him well enough to call him by his first name. He was a presence wherever he was. His knowledge was unstoppable. He tried everything. He was a skydiver, and after his retirement drove a motorbike (Harley?) all over the place.
I last saw him a couple of years ago at a party at IPI. He hadn’t changed in years. He still commanded the room and was happy to share his wit and knowledge with those around him.
His favorite saying was "Never do anything you have to apologize for later."
Dick Roti will be missed
