Do You Have Ads on the ‘net?

I have been looking at my favorite web sites, parkingtoday.com and parknews.biz and have come away embarrassed. I noticed that our ads on these sites break every rule of advertising and promotion. Yikes.

First of all, they need to be dynamic and attractive, that is catch your eye. I don’t think this passes that test:

pt blue

Its just “there.” It does nothing, says nothing.

Second, there is no message. Something like “PT has all the Parking News on the planet”  or “Today’s Parking News Today” or “Read PT on line and keep ahead of the news.”

Third, there is no call to action: “Read about the newest parking merger, Click Here.” or “Save Big Bucks with New Lighting – Click Here.”  you get the idea.

The ad must be attractive, catch the eye, have a message, and a call to action. Then there is a good possibility someone will ‘click’ on it and go to where you want them to go on the web.

Have you looked at your ads today?
