Eminent Domain Again This time in Michigan

According to my correspondent in Michigan, the Grove Family owns a paid parking lot in Oxford, Michigan.  Oxford bureaucrats decided they want free parking in Oxford, so they try using their governmental authority to condemn Grove’s paid lot and turn it into a city-owned free parking lot.  The court said free parking was not a “necessity” so they couldn’t condemn.  Court got it right. Nice try, Oxford.
