I got word today that Federal Signal, owner of Federal APD has purchased Sirit in Canada. As you may know Sirit makes RFID systems and Federal it seems is beginning to round out its ITS approach to the marketplace. They told me at a meeting last year that their goal was to have a complete product line for the municipal/governmental market with communications, parking, security, and traffic systems all from one vendor. This acquisition puts them a step closer in that arena.
