This video is perfect. The County of Los Angeles charges for parking on weekends. $1.50 a hour. Fair Enough. However they use ancient P and D machines that are virtually impossible for anyone over 15 to use. Take a minute and watch this video:
The good stuff starts about minute four. The county employee takes five goes to get a receipt. These people are hot and rightly so. Even the PR people couldn't answer simple questions about parking and charging. Why? Because there are no reasonable answers.
They could have simply said that the money raised went to pay for mowing the lawns and keeping the streets repaired in the park. But of course, that would have been a lie.
