Ford Motor Company Executive Chairman Bill Ford has formed a venture capital firm called Fontinalis (its Latin for Brook Trout). The first company they funded was Parkmobile out of Atlanta. According to Fortune Magazine, the venture capital firm is focused on companies and technologies that will assist in cutting a byproduct of Ford Motor Company’s activities, “traffic and global congestion.”
Although Folntinalis is looking for VC size returns, Ford says that it isn’t their only motive:”We realize it’s a lot more fun when you are actually doing something that helps make the world a better place.” I’m sure ParkMobile agrees
