A friend of mine who runs a valet company got the following report from one of his managers:
A customer picked up his car and as they drove away his wife found, in the center console, an open condom wrapper. She asked her husband about it since she knew she hadn’t had sex in the car. He denied any knowledge and said it must have been placed there by one of our valets. He is threatening a law suit. Of course all my staff denies any knowledge of the incident. I believe them. I think we have to amend our contract with parkers that we are not responsible for anything left by the vehicle owner OR US in the vehicle.
I’m sure this driver is sweating and I wonder how far he will push the lawsuit. A private word with the manager might have been a better idea…What a classic gotcha
