An attorney buys a building for her offices. She parks in the spot behind the building. She then gets sideways with the city. The city begins to tow her car from the space. She claims the space is part of her property. The city keep writing tickets. You know what happens next. These are lawyers.
$100,000 that’s One Hundred Thousand dollars, of city money spent to fight the lawsuit, it is now before the state of West Virginia Supreme court. Don’t believe me, read about it here.
The city administration that had the problem with the lawyer is gone, she has moved to new digs but still uses the parking space. She has tried to meet with the new mayor and work out a settlement but the city’s lawyers seem to be standing in the way.
Is it any wonder that our government is as screwed up as it is. Shakespeare was right…
