At the University of Georgia, Athens, parking is scarce on game days. A local developer and former Georgia footballer developed condo parking lot for RV’s. Read about it here.
For a mere 30 grand, you can get a space for 30 days a year (guaranteed game days). The place has restrooms, TV, picnic pavilions, live music and a shuttle to the game. You own the space (like a timeshare) and you pay an annual service fee and property taxes. There are 250 spaces on the lot, located about 4 miles from campus.
A similar 200 space development for cars has sold out and people are lining up for the RV location, to be opened for the fall season. A third project is on the books.
Hey, if there’s a market, why not?
