The Decatur Texas high school has come up with an idea, and I think a good one. Its renting parking spaces to students for $100 each, and then allowing the student to decorate the space any way they want. The price is up from $20. Now we are beginning to talk. Lets start charging what these spaces cost.
The students are motivated, the money is going to assist various student activities, the parking lot will probably look like the wall of a freeway, but who cares? Its a great outlet for the budding taggers, and keeps the activity under control. Non deco-ratable spaces are $50 and $25.
My guess is that the c note spaces will sell out on opening day and the art will blow your mind.
