I got a note from the IPI advertising their big show in May. It stressed that there would be modules on anti-terrorism and “first observer” training for parking pros. Fair enough. They would also be working the room with “Parking Wars,” that show that is the bane of Philadelphia and Technology, a redo of their upcoming webinar. Fair Enough and good for them.
I asked Andy about the Anti-Terrorism topic and how that fit in with parking. He noted that local organizations (read that cities) are looking for funding from the feds for all types of projects. If they can show a strong anti-terrorism program, scarce funds may become available from Homeland Security. Of course it’s also a good idea to keep a sharp eye out, but finding money is good, too.
Good Job – IPI.
